Specialist Life Sciences' Services: Software validationAchiever Business Solutions ensures that verification and validation against the requirements of each release of Achiever Plus is part of the Achiever Business Solutions' standard development process. In conjunction with this work, Achiever Business Solutions provides validation packs and checklists that can be used by organizations to aid them in complying with the FDA's electronic record requirements. These checklists can be used to help identify administration tasks outside of the software that need to be carried out to avoid the risk of non-compliance. Scripts and documentation will be supplied, reflecting the customer's Achiever Plus configuration, such as:
- Vendor questionnaire template
- Risk Assessment report
- 21 CFR Part 11 compliance checklist
- Requirements definition report
- Validation master plan document
- Installation qualification script
- Operation qualification script
- Final validation report
Requirements Definition Workshops (RDW)The RDW is an exercise, carried out by Achiever Business Solutions' product consultants, which ensures complete understanding and documenting of the client's specific requirements. Following a workshop the client will be provided with a document to sign, detailing all the identified requirements. This workshop will typically highlight any work the client needs to carry out before the consultants are on-site, or any additional preparation the consultants should carry out before they start the installation. This is a vital stage in the procedure, because it ensures that the consultants have an in-depth understanding of all the requirements and ensures that the process is smooth, efficient and fully understood by consultants and client.
The issues discussed during the RDW include:

- Business objectives of implementation
Technical RDWIn addition to the main requirements definition workshop, technical workshops will be carried out in each location to cover technical infrastructure. This will be dealt with in line with the number of servers in use, level of internet usage, and percentage of mobile users. The infrastructure will be reviewed in respect of what is currently in place, and what may be required for the future.
Project ManagementThis service is offered to customers who would like Achiever Business Solutions' personnel to assist with keeping the project on target and on time, meeting all the agreed implementation objectives as determined in the RDW.
Installation & ConfigurationThe installation will include loading the software onto the required servers. Configuration will include the setting up of keywords, access control lists (defining the security model), agents, and all client configurable elements of the software. Upon completion of the installation and configuration the system will be ready for use.
Data Migration and IntegrationThere may be data within existing systems that needs either full migration to, or integration with, the new management system. The extent of the data migration and integration needed, and therefore also the length of this process, depends on the number of records and the system that the records currently reside in. This process can be accurately defined through the use of questionnaires before the RDW, and through further investigation in the RDW itself. Data migration is usually only required for the document management module, although we will be happy to discuss the transfer of records into other modules where required. Timescales for data migration are specific to each implementation and are issued on an individual basis.
CustomizationAchiever Plus software will address most customers' requirements 'off the shelf'. However, Achiever Plus can be purchased as an open code product. This means that customers with sufficient application development expertise have the opportunity to customize the package to suit specific requirements.
Achiever Plus is designed so that when customization does take place it can be supported through upgrades with minimal disruption to IT and the user community.
Complex customization or development requirements are usually covered during the RDW. Experience has shown, however, that a great deal of prospective development can be addressed through effective configuration of Achiever Plus.
Systems ReviewFollowing the initial rollout of Achiever Plus a systems review is recommended and workshops will be carried out at the customer site. Typically with any software implementation, the users will have a lot of questions once they begin working with the new system. This review will give the key project staff and users the opportunity to have all their questions answered. In addition the review will highlight any areas where the customer is not maximizing the use of Achiever Plus. A report produced on the completion of this review offers clients the opportunity to either work on the efficiency of application usage internally, or to use Achiever Business Solution's consultants to work on any specific projects that may be required.
TrainingA range of training solutions are available as part of the Achiever Plus implementation, including:

- Achiever Plus Administration Training
- Achiever Plus Reporting Tool Training
- Achiever Plus Interactive Training
The training can be provided onsite or alternatively offsite training facilities can be arranged.
Interactive Training – On DemandThis training is available to assist companies with large number of client user licenses, or global implementations. This medium provides on-line, on-demand training which will guide the user through the functionality of the software. The benefit realized through interactive training is a substantial reduction in training costs, because few or no internal trainers are required. As new users are brought on to the Achiever Plus system continuous, consistent training is readily available.
Support and Maintenance Services - Keeping GRC management systems up to dateIndustry reports show that maintaining compliance to GRC demands, because of constantly changing legislative requirements and best practice standards is becoming increasingly difficult and can be a real drain on resource.
